The Bonita Banana bag is made entirely by hand with toquilla straw, a flexible yet durable material that grows naturally in the provinces of Santa Elena and Manabí, Ecuador. This model stands out for its original black and white design, featuring a wavy pattern that evokes movement and contrast. It features three woven bananas in vibrant yellow, a playful touch that gives it its name and a lot of personality. By working directly with Ecuadorian artisans, the brand seeks to strengthen appreciation for handmade and socially responsible products. Small communities are responsible for growing, harvesting, processing, and preparing the straw for the weavers, in a tradition passed down from generation to generation. With our daily efforts, we help promote and preserve the toquilla tradition for future generations. In dry climates or when exposed to sunlight, straw should be occasionally moistened with a water vaporizer.
