Beautiful Mandarin Bag

The Bonita Mandarina bag is entirely handwoven with toquilla straw, a durable, flexible plant material that grows naturally in the coastal provinces of Ecuador. Its herringbone design, in red and natural tones, stands out for its warmth and energy. As a special touch, two woven mandarin oranges with green leaves hang from the bag, giving it a playful, colorful, and fresh look. We work directly with artisan communities in Ecuador to promote fair trade and preserve traditional techniques. From the cultivation of the straw to the final weaving, each bag is a work of ancestral knowledge passed down from generation to generation. With each piece, we promote the preservation of the art of toquilla weaving and celebrate dedicated craftsmanship. In dry climates or when exposed to sunlight, the straw should be occasionally moistened with a water vaporizer.
