The Cherry Tote Bag is entirely handmade with toquilla straw, a flexible yet resistant material that grows naturally in the provinces of Santa Elena and Manabí, Ecuador. Its blue and natural herringbone pattern brings a fresh, dynamic feel. The standout feature is a cluster of bright red cherries with green leaves, all handwoven—adding a joyful, summery, and bold touch. We work directly with artisan communities in Ecuador to promote appreciation for handmade and socially responsible products. These communities manage every step: from growing and preparing the straw to the final weaving—preserving ancestral knowledge passed down through generations. With each piece, we help keep the toquilla tradition alive and shine a light on the talent of its makers. In dry climates or when exposed to sunlight, the straw should occasionally be moistened with a water steamer.
Shipping
As a general rule, packages are sent within 48 hours of receipt of payment, through Correos Express for national shipments and SEUR (DPD) for international shipments with tracking number and delivery without signature. Shipping costs include handling and packaging costs, as well as postage costs. Transportation costs may vary depending on the total weight of the package. We cannot be held responsible for damage to your package after shipment, but we do our best to protect all fragile items.
Returns and exchanges
We offer a complete exchange guarantee within 30 days from the time of your purchase. To make the change you must write an email to hola@laveintinueve.com explaining the reason why you do not want the items. Once the exchange is approved, you must return the merchandise in its original packaging, unused and in the condition in which they were sent. Once received, checked and booked again in our warehouse, we will proceed to send you the exchange merchandise. La Veintinueve will cover the return shipping costs.
